Clyst Hydon Lido - Larches Swim

Larches Swimming Club are arranging 5 naturist swims summer 2026 at Clyst Hydon Lido, close to Cullompton and the M5 motorway. It’s a lovely pool in an ideal setting for naturists; the pool is very secluded.

The provisional swim dates for 2026, all Sundays, are:

5th July - 12:00-14:00

19th July - 12:00-14:00

2nd August - 11:00 - 14:00

16th August - 12:00 - 14:00

30th August - 12:00 - 14:00

In 2025 the cost per person was £5; we don’t know the pool hire rates for 2026 yet. The swims on 5th and 19th July and 16th and 30th August will last for 2 hours, from noon to 2pm; we need to make sure that we leave the pool area in good time before the next swimmers arrive. The session on Sunday 2nd August will start at 11am and finish at 2pm; this session is longer as it’s on the same weekend as the Exmouth Nude Cruise on Friday 25th and the naked pub evening at the Dog and Donkey on Saturday 26th (see barewestevents.com for further details of the cruise on Friday 31st July and the naked pub evening in Exmouth on the evening of Saturday 1st August).

As the pool has no lifeguard, this swim will be ‘at your own risk’. You will need to sign to accept that the swim is at your own risk. Please bring photo ID. We’ve set up a WhatsApp group for the swims, so that we can contact you if, for example, the pool has a problem and the swim has to be cancelled (we don’t want people travelling to find that the swim is off).

The pool is only heated by the sun; it is 22m x 10m and the shallow end is 0.9m deep whilst the deep end is 1.7m. We’ll be able to use the water slide. You can take a picnic, but glassware is not allowed, please bring your own plastic or paper plates and cups. ALCOHOL IS NOT PERMITTED.

There is no car parking by the pool, but we can use the nearby village hall car park (it’s sign posted - you’ll go past it on the drive from Cullompton).

Even if you don’t want to swim, you’re more than welcome to sunbathe on the grassy banks and have a chat, just bring a blanket or towel. As last year, we’ll have a poolside BBQ. We’ll bring the BBQ, just bring your own food.
